What I Want To Do More of This Year

Every year, I take time to reflect on what felt aligned, what felt impactful, and what I want more of moving forward.

This year, the answer is clear.

I want more connection.
More collaboration.
More hands-on creativity.
More flowers in more spaces.

At Sweet Pea Designs, we’ve always believed flowers are more than décor. They're an experience. And this year, I’m leaning into that fully.

Here’s what I want to do more of this year and how it might just be exactly what you or your business needs too.

1. Host More Floral Workshops (On-Site and Off-Site)

One of my biggest goals this year is to host more floral design workshops, both inside our shop and out in the community.

There is something powerful about watching someone create with flowers for the first time. It builds confidence. It creates connection. It slows people down.

In-Shop Floral Workshops

Our shop is the perfect space for:

  • Seasonal floral arranging workshops

  • Holiday centerpiece classes

  • Girls’ night flower events

  • Mother-daughter floral classes

  • Private birthday floral workshops

  • Bridal party floral experiences

Our workshops aren’t cookie-cutter. They’re designed to feel elevated, relaxed, and creatively freeing. No pressure. No perfection. Just beautiful blooms and a memorable experience.

Off-Site Floral Workshops

We also want to bring the experience to you.

That means:

  • Hosting floral workshops at local wineries

  • Floral workshops at community spaces and churches

  • Private in-home floral parties

If you’re a business owner or event host looking for a creative activity that draws people in, floral workshops are interactive, photogenic, and highly shareable.

And they make incredible content for your business too.

2. Corporate Team Building Floral Events

This is one I’m especially excited about.

Corporate team building events don’t have to be awkward trust falls or hotel conference room icebreakers.

They can be beautiful.

We are expanding into corporate floral workshops and team building experiences designed for:

  • Employee appreciation events

  • Leadership retreats

  • Holiday staff parties

  • Client appreciation gatherings

  • Women in business networking events

  • Creative strategy days

Why flowers work for team building:

Everyone starts at the same skill level
It encourages collaboration and creativity
It’s relaxing and stress-reducing
Everyone leaves with something tangible
It feels elevated and thoughtful

We can host small teams in our shop or bring a full mobile floral bar to your office or venue.

And we handle everything. Setup, supplies, instruction, cleanup.

You just show up and create.

3. Hosting More Events in Our Shop

Our shop was always meant to be more than a retail space.

It’s a gathering space.

This year, I want to host more:

  • DIY experiences

  • Styled networking events

  • Pop-up vendors

  • Small business collaboration events

  • Seasonal shopping events

There’s something about being surrounded by fresh flowers that changes the energy of a room.

I want our space to feel alive with community.

4. Collaborating With More Local Businesses

Community over competition always.

One of my biggest goals this year is to collaborate with more local businesses in creative, strategic ways.

That could look like:

  • Floral workshops hosted inside a boutique

  • Styled content days with photographers

  • Cross-promotional giveaways

  • Subscription flowers for salons, spas and realtors

  • Floral installations for grand openings

When local businesses collaborate, everyone wins:

  • Shared audiences

  • Fresh content

  • Increased foot traffic

  • Expanded brand awareness

  • Stronger community ties

If you’re a local business owner looking for ways to:

  • Increase engagement

  • Offer unique in-store events

  • Elevate your aesthetic

  • Create buzz around a launch

Let’s create something beautiful together.

5. Custom Flower Subscriptions for Business Owners

This is a big one.

I would love to expand our custom flower subscription services for local businesses.

Fresh flowers change a space instantly.

They communicate:

  • Care

  • Intention

  • Professionalism

  • Hospitality

  • Brand identity

We are focusing on custom floral subscriptions for:

  • Salons

  • Spas

  • Medical offices

  • Realtors

  • Restaurants

  • Coffee shops

  • Boutique retail stores

  • Corporate offices

Our business flower subscriptions are fully customized, no generic arrangements. We design based on your brand colors, interior aesthetic, and seasonal goals.

And we handle:

  • Delivery

  • Installation

  • Vase rotation

  • Fresh design bi-weekly or monthly

For business owners, this becomes:

  • A brand statement

  • A content opportunity

  • A client experience enhancer

  • A tax-deductible marketing investment

It’s not just flowers.
It’s atmosphere.

Why This Matters

Everything on this list has one thing in common:

Connection.

In a world that feels increasingly digital and fast-paced, people are craving experiences. They’re craving in-person creativity. They’re craving meaningful interactions.

Flowers naturally create that.

They slow people down.
They soften spaces.
They make moments feel intentional.

And this year, I want more of that.

More shared tables.
More collaboration over competition.
More businesses investing in atmosphere.
More people discovering they’re more creative than they think.

If You’ve Been Thinking About It…

If you’ve been considering:

  • Booking a floral workshop

  • Hosting a team building event

  • Elevating your office with fresh flowers

  • Collaborating on an event

  • Creating something different for your customers

This might be your sign.

We’re expanding our floral workshops, corporate event offerings, in-shop experiences, and business flower subscriptions this year — and I would love to build something custom for you.

Because at the end of the day, flowers aren’t just what we sell.

They’re how we bring people together.
