Making Your Wedding Authentically Yours: Nicole’s Perspective

Hey, Hi, Hello. Coming at you in the thick of wedding season. It's a wild time right now. We have been go, go, go since mid August with weddings every weekend and we are about halfway through.

Let me just say, these weddings this year are just so beautiful. My couples are the sweetest. The flowers have been stunning. Even the weather has been cooperating beautifully this season. There has been a huge range of weddings this season and I think that is one of my favorite parts. We’ve had huge, luxurious weddings all the way to small, intimate weddings. My favorite part is couples making their day authentically them.

Weddings aren’t a performance. They aren’t a way to show social standing. They aren’t a competition. Pinterest, TikTok and Instagram give us this grand inspiration that so often gets taken out of hand. I’ve seen brides get stressed out about things that they don’t even truly care about.

Here’s the thing: your wedding is not supposed to be about checking boxes or replicating someone else’s vision. It’s about creating a day that feels like you. If you want to wear sneakers under your dress, do it. If you want to skip the cake and serve ice cream sandwiches instead, go for it. If you’d rather have 30 people in your backyard than 300 in a ballroom, that’s just as beautiful.

When you let go of the pressure to “keep up” and instead focus on what makes you and your partner happiest, that’s when the magic really happens. The joy feels lighter, the moments feel more genuine, and you’ll actually remember the day for what it was, not for the checklist of trends you did or didn’t include.

So, if you’re in the middle of planning right now, here’s my little reminder: stay grounded in who you are. Pick the details that light you up. Leave the rest. At the end of the day, your guests won’t remember what shade of blush your napkins were, they’ll remember how loved they felt being part of your celebration.

And honestly? That’s what makes a wedding unforgettable.

If you’re dreaming up your day and want flowers that reflect your story, not just Pinterest’s, this is exactly what I love to do. Every design I create is fully customized to you and your vision, so that when you look back on your wedding day, the flowers feel like a perfect extension of your love. I’d be honored to help you bring that to life.

Talk soon,

Nicole
